A variety of writing workshops will run concurrently in the Franklin Center during two sessions from 1:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. Starting at 8:00p.m. at Pokro Brewery Company in Griffith, Small Prestivus will host a featured reading with writers Sarah A. Nashville performer Lois Berg will provide live music in between, and there will be an open mic for all of the small press writers in attendance as well as the public in which to read their work.

The second day of Small Prestivus will offer the Festival of Language, a reading that will host over 25 national small press writers from 11:30 to 5 p..m. Aug. 2 at Pokro Brewing Company, beginning with a Q & A with Joani Reese on everything you want to know about submissions and publishing. Each participant will have up to ten minutes to share their work with the crowd.

The Town of Griffith, Grindhouse Café, Billy O’s Dynamite Music and Pokro Brewing Company, along with the Literary Underground, have graciously partnered with Blotterature and Lit Fest Press to help cultivate a strong sense of comradery and community among writers, publishers of the small press, and the public-at-large.
