Joe GianottiPoetry ReaderJoe is from Whiting, a small, blue collar town on the fringe of Chicago. He has taught English at Lowell High School in Northwest Indiana for sixteen years. He studied English and history at the University of Indianapolis, where he was lucky enough to learn from poet, Alice Friman. His poetry has been published or is forthcoming in This, Literary Magazine, The Chaffey Review, Folly, Yes, Poetry, Mouse Tales, Blotterature, Steam Ticket: A Third Coast Review, and other places. He has been honored to be included in the This is Poetry series, published by Citizens for Decent Literature and to have represented Northwest Indiana in State Poet Laureate George Kalamaras’ Five Corners Poetry Readings.
